Tell me who's learning and a song you'd love to play. The first chat and first lesson are free — a friendly, no-pressure hello.
To get going properly, yes — but don't rush out and spend a fortune. Come to the free chat first and I'll help you choose, or I can supply a suitable starter instrument, set up by hand so it plays easy from day one.
Either is fine, and I teach both. We'll pick whatever suits the music you want to play and feels comfortable in your hands. If you already own one, we start there.
Yes — young learners are very welcome. Readiness matters more than a birthday, so bring them along for the free chat and we'll see if the time is right and make it fun.
Yes. Online lessons are backed by the Strumified practice tools, so you get chord sheets and slow-down players to keep. Many people do a mix of in-person and online — often the fastest way to progress.
Most people can't when they start, and plenty never need to. We learn by ear and by playing real songs. If you'd like to read tab or notation, I'll teach that too — at your pace.
For beginners it's more chat than playing — there's a lot to take in and no reason to rush. If it feels right, you'll leave with a chord or two under your fingers. No pressure, and nothing to pay.
